James Cameron Visits the Titanic Museum in Belfast

JAMES CAMERON, DIRECTOR OF THE EPIC MASTERPIECE TITANIC, MAKES FIRST EXCURSION TO BELFAST, THE BIRTHPLACE OF THE RMS TITANIC, WHERE THE LEGEND BEGAN.

Academy Award®-Winning Director and Producer to Induct an Original Exhibit at the World’s Largest Titanic Museum

Renowned director James Cameron has visited the wreck of the RMS Titanic 33 times and will continue his exploration of the “ship of dreams” with his very first trip to the birthplace of the legendary ship in Belfast where the Titanic was built. The spectacular new Titanic Belfast Museum is located 100 yards in front of where Titanic's hull was launched; to its right is the drawing office where she was designed and to the left is the River Lagan where she first set sail.

Cameron and producer Jon Landau will induct an original exhibit at the world’s largest Titanic museum.  The new exhibit will feature props and costumes from some of the film’s most memorable scenes including Jack’s corduroy pants, Rose’s “sinking” dress and First Officer Murdoch’s uniform, along with a deckhand’s outfit. The Titanic film exhibit will also feature the steering wheel and telegraph, part of Cameron’s personal collection of props used in the film.

TITANIC makes its highly anticipated debut on Blu-ray 2D and 3D on September 10, 2012 from Paramount Home Media Distribution.  Available in high definition for the first time ever, James Cameron’s spectacular love story will be presented in stunning 2D and 3D, providing a cinematic in-home experience of TITANIC like never before.
